According to early reports from national accounts, Rod is on track to blow away the competition in the US charts with his new album’Stardust: The Great American Songbook Volume 3′ with a likely first-week sales tally of over 250,000.
The album was released in the US on 19 October and it looks like the American public still can’t get enough of him!
Rod’s sales should be hard to beat, and will likely land him an easy No.1 on next week’s album chart.
It will be Rod’s first US No.1 album since 1978’s ‘Blondes Have More Fun’. Last year, Rod’s second Volume of standards prompted re-newed interest in the first volume as well as a return to the charts of The Very Best Of Rod Stewart.
