A quiet week this week as Rod on is on a short break but on Saturday he gave a shot out to The Derby Inn after a visit on his way to Christchurch.

Stockport Railway Station Exhibition
On Saturday visitors to Stockport railway station saw a new local music art exhibition of 42 A0 posters for Stockport music story in the railway station pedestrian tunnel including a poster marking Rod’s appearance at The Tabernacle on May 28th 1967

Pam Howes told SMILER this week “Three of the best Stockport clubs from our youth. The Tabernacle, Manor Lounge, and Sinking Ship were featured on the posters designed by local artists along similar designs of the originals but with pops of colour making them look really attractive in the railway station pedestrian tunnel. Fabulous afternoon with a crowd of lovely music minded and arty people”.
Blow By Blow
It was announced this week that a new book about Jeff Beck will be out in July

Titled Blow by Blow The Jeff Beck Story the 400 page book is written by By Brad Tolinski and Chris Gill and will be published on July 14, 2026 by Da Capo
