On 5 July Ian McLagan was interviewed for Smiler and exclusively revealed that the Faces’ studio albums are currently being prepared for re-release with added bonus tracks. The albums concerned – ‘First Step’, ‘Long Player’, ‘A Nod’s As Good As A Wink…’ and ‘Ooh La La’ are currently being re-mastered and likely contenders for the bonus tracks include the Ike and Tina Turner song ‘Too Much Woman For A Hen Pecked Man’ and ‘Sweet Little Rock ‘n’ Roller’ from the Brit Awards Faces reunion of 1993.
Mac has also revealed that after the box was essentially complete, he discovered more tapes. “I found another five cassettes from rehearsals,” he says. “So at some point, there has to be a really good CD of the rehearsals to come out. I don’t know quite when, but I know Warners is excited about this to the point where they’re talking about the next stage.”
