J-Records held a party in LA to highlight the forthcoming new release ‘It Had To Be You….The American Songbook’. At the cocktail party in the swank St. Regis Hotel Stewart performed “They Can’t Take That Away from Me” and “These Foolish Things,” the latter accompanied by legendary saxophonist Dave Koz.
Duded up in a grey designer suit Stewart crooned in a low breath that seemed to bypass his rasp.
Watching Rod perform songs from the album were two of his children….Kimberley and Renee, girlfriend Penny Lancaster and Ozzie’s son Jack Osbourne.
Also in attendence were J-Records supremo Clive Davis, producer Richard Perry, author Jackie Collins and singer/songwriter Dianne Warren.
