In a new Ultimate Classic Rock ‘tea-time’ chat with Foreigner’s Mick Jones, David Coverdale reveals Rod was floored the first time he heard the Whitesnake songs ‘Here I Go Again’ and ‘Is This Love?’ “Rod Stewart said, ‘Who the f**k is writing these songs?'” the rocker laughed.
Jones added “Those two (songs) are amazing. When I first heard them, I was like, ‘Who the f**k is that…?’ They would have been good for him (Stewart) too.”
Coverdale and Jones was promoting the Whitesnake and Foreigner summer Jukebox Heroes Tour.
Meanwhile Rod is getting in the spirit for his two big concerts with Cyndi Lauper at the Hollywood Bowl on 25th/ 26th June by dying his hair pink like Cyndi….or maybe he just stood under the stage lights?
