This week we kick off with a Friday night in Noblesville with the band playing The Ruoff Music Center, Rod met designer Jamie Lee Dampier Bushong and her assistant, Jamie who’s company House of Dampier is located in Greenwood Indiana told SMILER this week “I actually made my whole outfit and the one my Apprentice is wearing also. I’m actually a designer in Indiana and work for bands that request my help with wardrobe the night of their shows”

Adding “Getting to work wardrobe for the legendary Rod Stewart was truly an honor and made me realise that all my hard work and passion I have for creating custom clothing is finally paying off and when Rod Stewart complimented the pants I’m wearing in this photo I knew I was doing something right. Every show I work I make myself a custom outfit inspired by the band I’m working for that night. And his crew, band, and Rod were by far the most amazing group of people I have worked with so far. It could not have been a better experience”.

Rod and his crew ended the night in Cortona’s Italian Restaurant, at the end of the dinner they then ordered a large carry out for the flight that would take him to Chicago for the next concert!

Rod and Penny

This weeks Rod art is from Siv Pettersson from Galleri Popart&Realism who are based in Norway and told SMILER this week ” I started to paint when I was 12 years old. My special style I call Popart and I only paint famous actors from old movies. And music I like to listen to. Rod Stewart was one of them. He is still good looking and he and Penny are very beautiful together. I love his music.”

Sam Cieri

During the July 19 episode of “America’s Got Talent,” judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara met Sam Cieri of the band Nicotine Dolls. The New Jersey resident auditioned as a solo singer, telling the panelists, “I came here because I’ve been making music my entire life and a month ago was the first month that I ever actually paid my bills or anything with making music, and that’s really cool.”

“I’m gonna be creative and that’s gonna be my job,” he told the judges.

Sam performs an original song on the big stage, and his gravely singing voice took the audience by surprise. At the end of his song Heidi jokes that he’s the offspring of Rod Stewart and John Mayer, Sam replies with a smile, “Those are my parents.”

Heidi goes on to say that his voice is “special,” while Sofia calls him “different and sexy” and Simon declares him to be “authentic.” Simon adds, “You were very honest with us as well. We got to know you really quickly and it was like you swallowed a great singer. Because the way you talk, it’s like there’s somebody else in you.” As usual, Simon is right on the money, as Sam’s singing tone sounds nothing like his speaking voice.
