The big news this week was Rod announcing more new dates including the UK

He also added a clip saying “Ladies and gentlemen, after much deliberation and sadness, I have to announce that next year will be my last tour ever, ever,” Stewart said in an official statement on Monday (Sept. 28). “I’m not retiring, but this will be the last rock ‘n’ roll tour. So I want to thank you for everything you’ve given me and hopefully I’ve given you something in return.”

Spike On Rod
Spike from the Quireboys in an interview with James Banyard in The Telegraph talked about Rod..
“I know Rod. Of course I take it as a compliment. Although, in my head I’m Mick Jagger, you know, except it comes out like Rod,” he laughs. “If I’m singing full pelt, I can’t help it, it’s just one of them things. I just did a duet with Bonnie Tyler who passed away recently. Powerful voice. She was one of the greatest. I’ve sung with Aerosmith, Guns N’ Roses. She could out-drink all of them.”
And on Wednesday Rod and Spike and Nigel Mogg met up at The Stables in Milton Keynes while watching Jim Cregan and his new band. Spike said “Jim was on top form. If he’s playing near you go and see him, it’s amazing. For all my fellow Geordies out there, Sir Rod Stewart does know the words to the Blaydon Races, which we sang together full blast in the dressing room. Ha. Lots of laughs, a drink or two, brilliant British rock ‘n’ roll. Just how a night out should be, so come and see the Quireboys on our ten show run in the UK and have a great night out, just like we had”.

I Can See Your Knickers
US TV presenter Kelly Ripa has told how Rod was the first person to warn her that the audience could see her underwear
The Live With Kelly and Mark host explained on Tuesday’s show that the set of Live With Kelly and Mark used to have “a mirrored floor in the performance area,” and during his last appearance in 2023 Rod told Kelly that the floor created an R-rated reflection.
“I was standing there interviewing him,” Kelly said. “He said, ‘Oh, darling, I can see your knickers!”
“I realised that, for years, performers had been looking up my skirt, not saying a word,” she continued. “And Rod Stewart was the one who boldly went there. Thank you, Rod Stewart! Gentleman!”
Rod’s Pledge
Rod has donated £5,000 to a severely disabled Ayrshire teenager after reading of the family’s benefits battle in which he was told to look for a job.
After hearing about The Daily Record report about how Connor Donnelly’s mum and dad Steve and Helen were told there were “work-related requirements” for their wheelchair-bound, blind, nonverbal son’s Universal Credit (UC) claim. Connor, from Mauchline, turned 18 earlier this year but when the family submitted a fresh claim for his £338 monthly benefit in June, they endured a string of “upsetting” phone calls discussing his ability to get a job and were forced to file sick lines.
Rod pledged his support to the family, which has left them “speechless”.
Rod told The Daily Record : “When I read the story of this young man in the Daily Record I immediately wanted to help. I hope this helps make things a little easier for them.”
