Quiet week this week after the whirlwind news of Rod’s latest single ‘One More Time’ hit last week but the week got off to a great start when Ken Bruce made the single his record of the week on BBC Radio 2 , the single also picked up a lot of airplay on other radio shows

Rod’s junior team held a a fun packed evening of charity and football and were treated to a talk by former professional footballer Marlon Harewood who posted on his social media ‘What a honour it was to be asked by @sirrodstewart along with @domsfoodmission to coach his son’s football team and offer some of my advice ⚽️’

Getting Hungry
Rod and the band ended the week in Budapest, Hungary’s capital, that is bisected by the River Danube to play a private gig.. a great warm up for the upcoming Las Vegas residency, Rod Stewart: The Hits will run from October 6 to October 23 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Rod also put up a more serous picture of himself at the Shoes on the Danube Bank memorial as he paid tribute to Jewish people who were massacred by Fascist Hungarian militia belonging to the Arrow Cross Party in Budapest during the Second World War. They were ordered to take off their shoes, and were shot at the edge of the water so that their bodies fell into the river and were carried away. Rod respectfully wrote: “Paying homage to the Hungarian Jews who were massacred at the end of World War Two.”
