“Oi. Trousers!”
On Sunday Penny featured in an 8 page article in The Mail on Sunday YOU Magazine

Penny Spoke to the Daily Mail whilst promoting her forthcoming memoir disclosing that Rod sometimes expresses his disapproval of particular outfits. Rod “firmly prefers his wife in skirts”, and occasionally chides her with the phrase: “Oi. Trousers!”.

Penny also spoke of Sex with Rod at 80 and told for the first time the Gregg Wallace story

Penny also shares an exclusive extract from her new memoir, Someone Like Me, and opens up about the traumatic experiences she endured before meeting husband Rod Stewart. From surviving sexual predators to bullying, Penny reveals what she went through, which has been kept under wraps until now.
‘So many women come forward after many years with their stories because they have buried it. They feel guilty, ashamed, that no one will believe them,’ she says. ‘I didn’t feel ready. I still had a lot of unanswered questions of my own. The book is a form of therapy for me.’

The Small Faces and The Faces On Track: Every Album, Every Song
This gem of a book was published last year but somehow passed us by

Small Faces. Big Sound. There were but four Small Faces. First, they were the sharp little mod fourpiece of the ‘All Or Nothing’ Decca years, Carnaby Street, Ready Steady Go! and Rave magazine. Then they were the irreverent freakbeat experimentalists of the Immediate years, with ‘Tin Soldier’, ‘Lazy Sunday’ and classic album Ogdens’ Nut Gone Flake. Their hits were praised, covered and imitated by subsequent rock musicians such as Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher. When The Small Faces split, Steve Marriott formed Humble Pie with Peter Frampton, and the rest of the band became The Faces with the addition of future Rolling Stone Ron Wood and vocalist Rod Stewart. The Faces became one of the biggest rock bands of the seventies via albums such as A Nod Is As Good As A Wink… To A Blind Horse and Ooh La La or worldwide hit ‘Stay With Me’. When those bands came to a natural end, and with ‘Itchycoo Park’ returned to the top ten, The Small Faces reformed for two more albums. Were they ill-advised or are they ripe for re-evaluation? The evidence is laid out here. For this is the full story song-by-song, from the very start, to the end …
Published by Sonic Bond and written by Andrew Darlington this book is a great read for and Small Faces, Faces or related fans
Win an author signed copy of Dear Rod An Apology

Paolo Hewitt has signed 5 copies of his new book Dear Rod…An Apology for us to give away if you want a copy just answer the simple question
What was the title of the Ronnie Lane Book Paolo co wrote with John Hellier in 2017
Send your answers on a postcard..only joking , just email your answer to [email protected]
In 1984, Paolo Hewitt met and interviewed Rod and has regretted it ever since. Why? Paolo says: “Because I did not honour the man who meant so much to me as a kid growing up. The man deserved better, and forty-two years later, I have the chance to make amends. I have written a small book – three and a half thousand words long – and here are the opening paragraphs…”
Rod, I know what I should have done now.
I should have walked into that Wembley rehearsal room, told you to stand up, and then I should have hugged you. I should have said,
‘Rod Stewart, thank you. Thank you so much. You have no idea what you and your band The Faces, and your music meant to me in the seventies.
‘When I first met you, I was thirteen years old, and I lived in a children’s home. I was massively depressed, and blackness surrounded my whole being.
‘And then you came along to save me. You gave me identity, you gave me purpose, but above all, you made me see that there was another world out there, one I could aspire to. Do you know how you did it? Of course, you don’t.
‘Here’s how…’
