Rod will headline a gala opening-night celebration at next month’s Las Vegas Market, officials of the World Market Center have confirmed.
He will take the stage following the July 28 ribbon-cutting of new 16-story Building C. His free concert will take place on the newly completed Grand Plaza, a courtyard-like area that is surrounded by the WMC’s three permanent showroom buildings.
“The industry has been highly anticipating the opening of Building C as a watershed event, and Rod Stewart is the kind of world-class entertainment that is consistent with the quality level of World Market Center and Las Vegas,” said Bob Maricich, the WMC’s president and CEO.
