Although it got off to a shaky start, with a No.69 debut on the Billboard Top 200 album charts, the album ‘The Voice: The Very Best Of Rod Stewart’ has made an amazing turn around!

Prior to Christmas, the album dropped from the Top 100, but in the latest Billboard listings it has risen from No. 54 to No. 40 to give Rod his first Stateside Top 40 album since 1996.

The album is now more in line with previous USA compilations. ‘Sing It Again Rod’ reached No. 31 in 1973, ‘Greatest Hits’ reached No. 22 in 1979, ‘Downtown Train: Selections from Storyteller’ reached No. 20 in 1990 and ‘If We Fall In Love Tonight’ reached No. 19 in 1996. Now ‘The Voice’ has made the Top 40, it means Rod’s proud record of every hits album reaching the American Top 40 has not been broken!
