Rod flies home to Penny

Rod has flown back to London to be with Penny who is in a London hospital recovering from a back operation, Rod said he was worried about his young son Alister while he was away, but Penny insisted he did all his shows as she did not want the fans to be disappointed.
Rod also admitted he was bafled by his popularity, recently a crowd of fans ran on stage at his gig in Florida, “I haven’t seen this this since the 70’s, what do they see in me?” he commented.
