Rod has given his backing to two musical sisters who penned a song in memory of their friend.
Twins Brittany and Rachelle Davies, both 15, were amazed when Rod tweeted his support for the pair and encouraged his fans to buy their first single.
The girls have released the single Shout Out, in aid of mental health charity YoungMinds and in memory of their friend Heather, who passed away last year,They have been sending their song — and the video produced by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland — to stars from all over the world and Rod replied, giving them a boost on Twitter by telling his 217,000 followers: “A pleasure to see young talent giving back. Purchase Glasgow’s @Rach_Britt’s first single and support @YoungMindsUK.”
The girls told SMILER ‘We thought that it was amazing that a legend like Rod Stewart had taken the time to watch our music video and read the story behind the song “Shout Out”. We will be forever grateful to Rod for such a kind gesture.
