Loose Women returned for a one-off special today as part of ITV’s NHS Day.
In a live link up Rod and Penny expressed their gratitude to the men and women risking their lives to fight the deadly disease COVID-19
The ITV daytime show, which has been suspended during the coronavirus pandemic, returned for a special episode where the panel and celebrity friends shared their love for NHS heroes from their homes.
Rod and Penny who is also a Loose Women panellist thanked the NHS for personally helping their families in times of need.
Penny said: ‘Hi ladies, I want to give a huge shout out to the NHS and all those carers on the frontline that are giving their lives to help others. You’re all incredible and we owe you so much.’ Rod adding ‘Bless you all. The NHS was formed in 1948 and that was three years after I was born. Since then you’ve looked after my brothers and my sister.’ Penny added: ‘And my mum and my dad!’ To which Rod replied: ‘Thank you from the bottom of my heart.’
