Bobby Womack’s Gorillaz bandmate Damon Albarn has stepped in to produce the singer/songwriter’s comeback album.
Womack returned to the spotlight when Albarn invited him to perform on the track Stylo and then to tour with Gorillaz in 2010. and also contribut vocals to another band tune.
And now the former Blur frontman is working with Gil Scott-Heron’s longtime producer Richard Russell on the soul man’s new album.
Earlier this year, we reported new tracks included duets with not only Rod but Stevie Wonder,and Snoop Dogg and a cover of Billy Preston’s With You I’m Born Again with the late Teena Marie.
The album will be called Living in The House of Blues.
