Rod Stewart is certainly loving the live he lives , the concert in Amsterdam was pure fun , entertainment
No negativity but a positive atmosphere , people having a fun night out
The choice of songs were a mix between a few new ones ( Can’t stop me know , Finest Women ) and older songs ( You wear it well , Maggie , Hot Legs ) . Most response he got on Forever Young, Tonight’s the night and The killing of Georgie.
The “fun “songs pumped up the crowd , they sang along with Rhythm of my Heart , This old Heart of mine , Baby Jane and Twisting the night away. The last two songs were Sailing and Do You think I’m sexy.
The tempo of the show was very fast , they started early , no video clips and no more “we want more “. An encore is anyway out of fashion , I suppose.
Rod used some tricks to create extra pauses like public singing , longer solo’s and giving the background singers more time so he might not be recovered completely from the flu , or is he just getting older ? For a man on his age he has a fantastic energy.
For the fans it doesn’t matter , they had a great time , lot’s of fun and humor ( Rod found the name “Ziggo “very funny ) and enjoyed the evening
We hope in The Netherlands that within a year of 5 Rod Stewart will come back to our country and giving us again a night to remember.
