English singer/songwriter Tom Wardle who has based himself in the US. is releasing a new EP ‘Jacqueline’ in December.
SMILER got to hear the title track this week and just knew Tom was going to be a Faces fan.
Tom told SMILER today “My voice has always been compared to Rod’s and I’m a massive fan of the Faces, especially the ballads, there’s so much feeling in them. I wanted to get that late night feel, with some Ronnie Wood inspired guitars on there too – I think I achieved it. I Was inspired by waking up in a house underneath the Hollywood sign one morning and realising how life had changed for me”.
We just knew SMILER members would love this and Tom also told us he actually pitched this song to Rod’s manager last year to try and get it on Rod’s new album but never had a response…Mr Savigar check this out!
