It is with great regret that we report the closure of Rod’s German fanzine Storyteller.
Storyteller was first published in January 1994 and offered Rod’s German fans an array of articles in German language and many exclusive photographs. The fanzine run for 36 issues over a full ten years with the final issue published in February 2004.
Editors Antje Bretschneider and Rosemarie Kuheim have not been impressed with Rod’s venture into easy listening and now feel that their personal lack of interest caused by the Songbook albums makes it impossible for them to continue with the club and magazine. They explained to Smiler, “We have decided after long consideration, that edition no. 36 will be the last issue of Storyteller. There is no reason to do this job any longer as the motivation, devotion and fun has gone for good.”
The Storyteller web site will continue to offer German fans an insight into Rod’s activities at www.rod-stewart.de. Back issues of Storyteller and an exclusive range of merchandise can be purchased via the site.
