Rod attends semi-final at Hampden

Rod attended The Scottish Cup semi-final at the weekend and watched his beloved Celtic stroll to a 4-0 victory over Rangers

Before the big match Rod had enjoyed a cheese and wine lunch at the classy Rogano restaurant in Glasgow. And then went on to visit the club shop with his son Aiden for customised tops before going to the match.

With the Hoops strolling to a 4-0 Scottish Cup semi-final victory Sir Rod decided to entertain himself and Aiden by playing to the crowd.

As Celtic scored the fourth goal and With fellow Hoops fans watching on, Rod waved to the Rangers fans sitting alongside in the main stand, But the wind up didn’t go down well with some, one man in the posh seats was clearly seen standing grimacing at Rod and Tom Miller of Rangers TV was also not impressed accusing Rod of celebrating Celtic’s fourth goal as if he had had a number one hit- if you can remember that far back!….Rod’s Time album made number one in 2013 actually Tom

After the match Rod went celebrating in the West End at Cottiers bar, having his photo taken with members of staff, fans and even held two babies!

“OMG meeting Rod was totally out of this world. I promised myself I’d be cool when I heard he was in the bar but of course I burst into tears as soon as I saw him. He was a real charming gentleman and let us all take pictures with him. And it goes without saying that he still looks gorgeous. I honestly almost wet myself.”

The bar manager Stu also brought in a framed LP which Rod was happy to sign.
