Rod splashed out on a round of drinks for more than 40 football fans in the Watermill Hotel in Paisley, Scotland,
He had stopped for a fry-up before heading to St Mirren Park to see Celtic score a 2-0 victory on Saturday.
And after standing the round, Rod happily posed for snaps with delighted fans and staff.
Hotel director Sylvia Lavizani said: “Some of the staff almost fainted when they saw him but he was so generous and friendly. We were amazed when he got the drinks.”
