2016 UK stadium tour

Rod will be back on the road from Saturday June 4 when he will kick off the tour at Norwich City’s Carrow Road stadium.

Rod Stewart, international rock star, will be back on the road from Saturday June 4 when he will kick off the tour with a gig at Norwich City’s Carrow Road stadium.

He will then perform at six football clubs across the UK at Plymouth Argyle FC (7 June), Cardiff FC (11 June), Hull FC (14 June), Kilmarnock FC (17 June) and Carlisle FC (21 June). Stewart will also play at Southampton’s Ageas Bowl on Friday 10 June.

Known for his love of football, Stewart has toured and played at football clubs across the UK for more than a decade but apart from Plymouth and Inverness all venues on the 2016 tour are new to Stewart and it will also see him play for the first time in Southampton at the home of Hampshire Cricket Club.

The tour announcement coincides with Stewart’s new album Another Country which is released on October 30.

The fully seated outdoor tour is being organised by event promoters Cuffe and Taylor who worked with Stewart on his 2014 tour.
Director Peter Taylor said: “We are thrilled to be working with Rod Stewart and his team yet again. In 2014 we worked on three dates and I am delighted we are the sole promoter of the Rod Stewart Stadium Tour for 2016. “The venues stretch right across the UK giving tens of thousands of people the opportunity to see one of the best live acts in the world. It is great that all but two of the venues are new to Rod Stewart so we hope to see a lot of excitement building ahead of next year.”.
