EXCLUSIVE (UPDATED): Faces re-unite in London at Mac’s gig

Ian McLagan played London’s Mean Fiddler in the heart of London’s West End tonight and re-united with his old mates in the Faces

Ian McLagan played London’s Mean Fiddler in the heart of London’s West End tonight and re-united with his old mates in the Faces for a blistering set of classic songs.

About half way through the performance Mac introduced Ronnie Wood to the stage who performed a string of Faces classics including ‘Glad And Sorry’, ‘You’re So Rude’, ‘Cindy’, ‘Ooh La La’ and ‘Mystifies Me’. He also stayed around for the Small Faces hits ‘Watcha Gonna Do About It’ and Sha La La La Lee’.

The climax of of the show came as the band were joined by Kenny Jones for a version of ‘Sweet Little Rock ‘n’ Roller’ that brought the house down. It was infact a Faces re-union minus Rod. But nobody seemed to mind as Mac, Woody and Kenny illustrated that they were the finest rock ‘n’ roll band to ever back Highgate’s answer to Frank Sinatra!
