I was talking about who I would like to see in concert recently. The conversation resulted in me being bought tickets for a special birthday to see Rod Stewart with my boyfriend.I have always wanted to see Rod in concert, And it was real treat to do so.
I was’nt sure what to expect really. I have to say that the whole concert was just fantastic. Rod Stewart and his great backing singers,band and daughter Ruby kept the audiance dancing and siging the whole night.
I remember right from the start people getting up and starting to sing,I just thought it was fun. I wasnt sure if I would like all of his new songs, not knowing them well, but again his voice was clear above the music so you could hear all the words,and i thought they were great to.
A male artist said on the radio recently,that it wasn’t a good idear to do new songs in a conert,as you find people use it as a loo break, so i was a tiny bit worried when Rod said he was about to do this. There was no need to be worried!
I loved the acoustic songs and the harp was amazing. Rod made you feel part of a party and his special guests. I liked the tribute that Rod put some of his songs to, some how you felt some of life’s ups and downs in them.
The ball kicking to the fans was fun,and so was the ballons to finish off the whole thing off, I really did love every moment and didn’t want it to end.
I woke up the next day and said to my boyfriend “i want to go and see Rod Stewart again”.
