Two days before the end of this year our friends from the superb Nod Stewart & The Faces (well known to many Smiler members from TARTAN 2018) played a 1,5 hours gig in Hilversum/Netherlands. About 300 people (Rod fans and others) gathered in a tent at the marketplace. The band opened with a nice little piece of Maggie May, which was followed by the Rod Stewart classics Angel and Cindy Incidentally. The crowd was very enthusiastic from the very beginning and kept on dancing and singing the whole night long.
The band (Jo de Roeck/Vocals; Jeroen van AS/Guitars; Ocki Klootwijk/Bass; Tyn Smit/Piano; Joeri Rook/Drums) made it a Rod tribute night to remember. performed 20 songs all in all, incl. amongst others Young Turks, Reason To Believe, Tonight’s The Night, I Don’t Want To Talk About It.
At the end of the show everybody went home happily. After a three months break Nod Stewart & The Faces will return to stage on March 15th in Veldhoven/Netherlands catch it if you can!.
