Kiss Her For Me

Caesar’s Palace, Las Vegas October 22, 2021 Review By Iris L Alexander

Opening with Infatuation and ending with Sweet Little Rock and Roller and everything in between was a big party. This show was just amazing. Celestina and I had the best time, singing, dancing, screaming, laughing and crying. Yes, I said crying. Celestina and I had met Rod briefly and separately many years ago. We were introduced to him by the same person. Her Father, Vittorio. He had played soccer with Rod. We just recently lost Vittorio. Since Celestina had never been to a Rod concert, it was a perfect time for us to go together. So many great memories came flooding back

I’ve been attending Rod concerts since the 70’s. This is the closest I have ever sat. So exciting. This man gets more handsome with every minute he ages. Top form in every way. His voice still on point. His sense of humor. His participation with the audience. He still has dance moves. He still has his winks and nods. And as always, his band and back up singers were phenomenal. I went up to the stage to take a photo. Before I took the photo, I blew him a kiss and I was so excited, I didn’t get the photo of him blowing one back to me. But I got others and that makes me happy. Gosh, I’m such a groupie.

The look after he blew me a kiss

I wish I had a photographic memory so that I could go back in my mind and watch the concert again.

The other look after he blew me a kiss

Section 103, Row J certainly put us in soccer ball range. I have been attending Rod concerts with the hopes of a catch. And this time it was so real. His ladies and band members were lending a foot with the balls to the audience. His lead singer Becca Kotte took a kick with her high heels and landed on her bumm. (All I would have to do is look at the ball and fall down) She bounced back up and kept performing. Yay Becca! (I hope she’s okay). One of the balls that Rod kicked headed my way.

Oh yes. This time I got it…. NOT!!

But the tip of my finger touched it. I will always have that. There’s always next time.

So, if I never catch one of the balls, just seeing Rod in concert, enjoying him and his music will always be enough.
