Finally Rod came back to the Globe again. He stated the time and came out on stage right on time. The concert started with the 80’s smash ‘Infatuation’. Rod promised that they would play 22 songs.
Rod sings the songs and the crowd dance, At the age of 74 so he is still going strong. The voice is not what it has been but still quite okay. Clearly, he tears Twisting The Night Away and kicks out footballs. Here, too, it is the age that begins to take its toll. Rod gets help shooting out balls over the sea of people. He sings the old classics ‘Saling’ and ‘Maggie May’. At the end of the show, a sea of balloons are released over the audience. I myself have been attending Rod’s concerts since the late 1970s but have not succeeded in catching a football. But now I have got a balloon at home with me! Even when my eldest graduated high school 18 years ago Rod was playing The Globe so my son partied without Mom who was partying with Rod!
Thank you Roddan for watching my life.
