A Nods as good as a wink!

Caesars Palace Las Vegas October 2nd Review By Donna Stackhouse

I was fortunate to get front row tickets to what was my umpteenth Rod Stewart concert. I purchased them 6 months in advance and waited until the moment arrived, when they would lift the curtain and there he was singing “Infatuation” His voice was amazing! He then rocked the show some more with “Having a Party” . Everyone was on their feet dancing. I could hear people behind me saying how good Rod looks and how great he sounds. I couldn’t agree more. He then sang “It Takes Two”

Rod shared with us that earlier that day he sang at a wedding for a couple that had their wedding plans cancelled by the Thomas Cook financial collapse . What dream come true for that couple, memories that will last a lifetime.

The concert continued with “You Wear It Well” which by the way he wore all of his clothes well that night. He had a total of 4 wardrobe changes. He really does “Wear it Well” !!! Loved the shiny blue shoes and the sparkly stripe of blue on his pants!

The concert looked to be a sell out crowd. I held up my laminated “SMILER” cover pages and he looked at me and nodded. For just that moment I felt so special. I have adored this man and his music for more than 45 years and to my amazement and delight he keeps getting better.

I flew home from Vegas and looked on Facebook to see that he is returning to Vegas in March 2020. I am going to go broke buying front row tickets (haha) I will be there again in awe of a legend called “Sir Rod Stewart”.

Here is the rest of the set list…
