Ron Wood will join Rod at the Olympic Torch Concert at The Mall in Central London on June 26.
The performance of the Faces 1972 hit single ‘Stay With Me’ will start Rod’s set which will also included several of his biggest hits.
In February this year Ron joined Rod on stage at a show in Madison Square Garden, but the pair have not performed together in the UK since 1993 when they appeared on the Michael Aspel Show.
“Being up on stage once again with Rod The Mod will be a real treat,” Wood said yesterday from Paris, where he is rehearsing with the Rolling Stones. “In The Mall, looking out of Buckingham Palace, doing ‘Stay With Me’, I’m sure it’ll be a street party to end all street parties.”
