Rod got back together with his old Faces pal Ron Wood tonight for a blistering rendition of the Faces smash ‘Stay With Me’ at the Olympic Torch concert in London.
Rod, who headlined the prestigious show, opened with ‘Stay With Me’ prior to the supporting artists – including Ozzsy Osbourne and James Brown – playing their songs. He then closed the show with ‘Rhythm Of My Heart’ and ‘Sailing’ joined on stage by the cast of the London musical ‘Tonight’s The Night’.
We can exclusively reval that Rod is planning a date at London’s Royal Albert Hall for later in the year. Watch this space!
Meanwhile, Rod has almost completed his new album ‘The Great American Songbook Volume III’. Guests on the album include Stevie Wonder.
