According to Ian ‘Mac’ McLagan we will have to wait a little longer for the already overdue Faces box set.
It will now be released in March / April 2003 when Mac feels it is right to do so. He does not want it pushed out ‘half cock’.
Meanwhile you can purchase a live performance given on German TV in 2000 by Mac and his Bump Band, available on DVD, and a new album by the band, ‘Rise And Shine’ is due out before the turn of the year. This is the follow up to their debut effort ‘Best Of British’.
Since 1998 Mac has also been a regular member of Billy Bragg’s UK outfit ‘The Blokes’, lending his Hammond B3 sound to studio albums and live performances.
The latest release by Billy Bragg And The Blokes was ‘England, Half English’ in May of this year and Mac features heavily on this album playing piano and Hammond.
