Rod, who this year celebrates a full decades absense from both the British and American Top Ten singles chart has been voted into a list of the worst ever singles recorded as complied by Channel 4.
There are some records that are so insipid, so excruciatingly memorable, just so plain irritating that they will go down in history as one of the Worst Pop Records of all time.
The criteria are simple: all of the records must have been released as a single in the UK, at one time or another, and have entered the official British chart at number 75 or above. Unbelievably, that means that all of the musical abominations in the list will forever be recorded as having made it as ‘hit’ singles.
Rod’s 1978 worldwide No. 1 ‘Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?’ slammed by critics and disowned by many fans, unsurprisingly makes No. 82 in the chart. To view the full chart go to:
