Let Me Be Frank

Frank McAvennie told listers to his podcast Let Me Be Frank that he had caught up with Rod and he is planning to be at Celtic Park for this week’s huge Champions League play-off with LASK Linz, despite being told by doctors to take it easy for four weeks following a coronary stent procedure

The ex Celtic legend said: “Just a shout out to our old pal Rod Stewart. He’s going to the game.

“He’s fit, he’s going to the game.

“He’s fit and healthy.

“He got something put in his chest to help him, to stop him getting everything the press were saying he had.

“He’s coming to the game so he must be in good shape.”

Asked by co-host Simon Houston if he has spoken in person or over e-mail, McAvennie said: “Yes, it was e-mail”

Celtic v LASK

As Frank McAvennie promised Rod was at Celtic Park on Wednesday

He saw Celtic take a huge step towards the Champions League as two stunning Camilo Duran strikes helped carve out a commanding first-leg play-off lead against LASK.

The Colombian hit fabulous efforts either side of half-time after a wonderful finish from Benjamin Nygren set the Scottish champions on their way.

The sides meet again in the second leg next Tuesday (20:00 BST) in Linz.

By Martin Heidt

It’s finally here: Rod’s former saxophonist Katja Rieckermann and the Austrian musician Bernhard Penzias, who go by the band name Kat & Burn, released their eagerly awaited album *Common League* on Tuesday. The album, which comprises a total of 13 tracks, has since been made available on all major streaming platforms.
“I’m absolutely delighted to announce that Kat & Burn’s album ‘Common Language’ has been released,” writes the North German artist on her social media channels. “I promise you’ll find at least one song you’ll like, as we’ve incorporated all sorts of musical styles, such as jazz, hip-hop, rap, dance, rock, spoken word, reggae, new age and world music” .
Kat & Burn launched a crowdfunding campaign at the start of the year to cover the immense production costs. A total of over $4,000 was raised, clearing the way for the songs they’d already written to be produced.
“We’ve been working on the album for almost a year and a half,” says Rieckermann. “Why not give it a listen?”

Oops I did it again

Rod’s daughter Kimberly announced she was pregnant again on Wednesday with a photo of her cradling her bare bump. ‘Oops I did it again,’ she captioned the photo.

Photo Kimberley Stewart Instagram

Kimberly already has two children, daughter Delilah Del Toro who is aged 14, with actor Benicio del Toro and a son who was born last year.

She has not revealed her son’s name, nor has she revealed the identity of his father.

The identity of the father of her unborn third child is not known either.

And Finally…

In his latest column for The Sun, Jeremy Clarkson revealed how he has managed to keep his Oxfordshire lawns green despite a hosepipe ban and defended Sir Rod’s own green grass on his mini golf course that was the subject of debate in the Daily Mail this week due to a temporary ban put in place by Thames Water last month that still remains in place across the county and surrounding areas. due to the prolonged period of dry weather which has continued into August, with temperatures staying high consistently.

British Soaps Worldwide

Clarkson who owns Diddly Squat Farm near Chadlington, which has become famous through Prime Video series Clarkson’s Farm said in the column “An aerial photograph of the lush green lawns outside Rod Stewart’s sprawling mansion in Essex prompted the nation’s bitter people to ask: ‘How did you manage that, mate, when there’s a hosepipe ban in force?’

“Well, let’s think. Could it be, perhaps, that Rod, here with wife Penny, probably has a borehole? It’s not a difficult concept to get your head round.

“You dig a hole maybe 100 metres down into the ground, put a pump in it and water comes out. Water that’s not subjected to any kind of government interference.

“That’s what we did at my pub, which is why the lawns there are also weirdly verdant.”

Stay cool and we will see you next week…
