Rhino have announced a new exciting releases – They are doing a limited run of a 12″ single of the Da Ya Think I’m Sexy? Jim Burgess Special Disco re-mix that is released exclusively with Amazon Music.
James Michael Burgess was a disco record producer and New York DJ of the 1970s.
At the former home of the Paradise Garage on King Street. He remixed and produced numerous disco versions of popular songs, with a number of them being million sellers. His most successful and best known productions were Alicia Bridges’ I Love the Nightlife, which has become a “Disco standard”. Rod’s Da Ya Think I’m Sexy? [12″ disco Re-Mix], and The Doobie Brothers’ What a Fool Believes (12″ disco remix version).

He was also a popular DJ at several New York clubs (including The Saint and Studio 54) and was “one of the most influential remixers for the disco era” And this special re-mix is now available to buy on vinyl for the first time since it was released in 1978.
