This weeks celebrity Gogglebox saw the Celebs watching Rod’s performance at Glastonbury most of them seemed thrilled by Rod’s performance. Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp was seen enthusiastically standing up and singing along before grabbing his guitar at home. His son Roman appeared less impressed, cringing at his dad’s spontaneous jam session.
Over on the Strictly Come Dancing sofa, Craig Revel Horwood couldn’t resist showing off his moves as Rod performed ‘Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?’ and ‘Hot Legs’. Co-star Anton Du Beke applauded Craig’s energy as the two laughed along, Meanwhile, Miquita Oliver and her mum Andi Oliver danced from their living room, while Gyles Brandreth simply said: “Rod never disappoints.”
Jonathan Ross who has never been a fan of Rod’s appeared on the programme alongside his daughter Honey Kinny Ross, said: “What a horrible way to spend the day. Why would you stand in a field and watch someone from half a mile away perform a medley from 40, 50 years ago?” Remember Ross is a massive Bowie fan!!
Honey replied: “A lot of people really like that.”
Jonathan added: “I know. I’m not saying they’re wrong; I’m just saying they’re weird.”
Ross ended up warming to the performance as Rod launched into ‘Maggie May’. He was seen singing along to the classic track, and even praised the star’s energy on stage. “He’s amazing. It’s amazing,” he said, before adding: “He looks better at 80 than I do at 64.”
Honey cheekily agreed, responding: “Yeah, he looks snatched,”

All Stewart fans were still raving about Sir Rod’s magnificent performance at the Glastonbury Festival when the hero of the Legends Slot was already back on another stage. A good 5,000 km away from Somerset, England, where the Glastonbury Festival is traditionally held, the Maggie May singer performed in Quebec, Canada, as part of the Festival D’Eté on Thursday as the weekend’s opener.
And Stewart had lost none of his powerful stage presence from his performance in the United Kingdom. Hit after hit followed in Quebec, with ‘Tonight I’m Yours’ kicking things off at a powerful pace.
‘Some Guys Have All The Luck’, ‘It’s A Heartache’ and ‘It Takes Two’ kept the rock vibe going, with the audience only getting a brief breather with ‘The First Cut Is The Deepest’ and ‘Tonight’s The Night’.
Of course, the mega-hits ‘Maggie May’, ‘Forever Young’ and ‘Baby Jane’ were also on the set list, and ‘Rhythm Of My Heart’ replaced ‘Love Train’ in the programme. This time, the performance ended with ‘Havin’ A Party’ instead of ‘Sailing’, which had tens of thousands of people in the United Kingdom singing along just a few days earlier, providing an emotional finale to Glastonbury.
The Canadian online portal Showbizz praised Stewart’s performance in the highest terms. ‘At his age, everyone would love to be so fit!’ Showbizz remarked, confirming that Sir Rod, who was supported in Quebec by Richard Marx, was in ‘dazzling form’. ‘At 80 years of age, the famous London singer has clearly lost none of his greatness and knows how to thrill an audience,’ the portal continued.

Album Midweek and end of week charts
Ultimate Hits had a surprise tumble in the midweek album charts dropping right down to number 32 and t was even worse in the new album charsts out this evening the album ended up at number 55.
But thanks largely to his showing at Glastonbury, several other projects by Rod were growing in popularity in the U.K. Soulbook returned to the Official Album Downloads chart at number 76, while Some Guys Have All the Luck shoots from number to number 13 on the same tally. That position marks a new high point for the latter Stewart collection on the downloads-only ranking.
If you still want a copy of the stunning zoetrope version of the vinyl double album don’t pay £100 plus on eBay there are still a limited number left on the official retail site Rod Stewart – Ultimate Hits (Zoetrope) But they won’t be around for long.

Ronnie Wood is to release a double CD and vinyl Ronnie Wood: ‘Fearless: Anthology 1965-2025
The career and legacy of Ronnie Wood is enduring and lasting — and on September 26th, a special collection will be released commemorating his contributions to music history.
Titled Fearless: Anthology 1965-2025, the set was revealed this week and will feature key material from Wood’s seven solo studio albums outside of his work with Rod Stewart, The Rolling Stones, Faces, and beyond.
Among the material on Fearless are four brand-new recordings, marking Wood’s first solo output since 2010.
One of those, “You’re So Fine,” a new Ronnie Wood version of the 1959 R&B hit by The Falcons that features backing vocals from Imelda May, was shared with the announcement:
The other unreleased tracks on the set include:
A Certain Girl,” originally written by Allen Toussaint under the pseudonym Naome Neville, with guest vocals from Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders
An update of Hopeton Lewis rocksteady hit “Take It Easy” (also featuring Imelda May on vocals)
“Mother of Pearl,” a new composition from Wood
Each of the previously unreleased tracks were produced by Ronnie’s son Jesse and Sean Genockey.

On Tuesday Rod was playing Walnut Creek and first up was the news that Georgia Napolitano is replacing Holly tonight at Raleigh

Triumphal march: Rod Stewart takes Raleigh by storm….Or Georgia Napolitano’s big night!
‘You have to give people what they want to hear,’ Sir Rod Stewart once said in an interview. No sooner said than done. And so the concert in Raleigh, the capital of the US state of North Carolina, became a triumphal march through six decades of hits for the 80-year-old music legend from ‘cold old London’.
And so the Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek in the state’s second-largest city was filled to capacity. The evening was opened by Cheap Trick, who had their biggest hit with ‘The Flame’. The rock sound of the band, who had already toured the States with Sir Rod in 2022, went down well with Stewart fans and thus shortened the wait for the Brit’s performance.
He once again took to the stage in high spirits and kicked off the nearly two-hour show with ‘Infatuation.’ In Raleigh, too, the motto was ‘Havin’ A Party,’ which was also the second track on the list of 21 songs.
Hit after hit – lucky is the man who can draw on hundreds of popular songs and spoil his fans for hours on end.
‘Some Guys Have All The Luck’, ‘Love Train’, ‘Forever Young’, ‘Young Turks’, ‘Maggie May’ and ‘It Takes Two’ – Sir Rod made his audience’s hearts beat faster with every passing minute. The visitors rocked to the sounds coming from the stage or reminisced when things got sentimental with ‘Tonight’s The Night’ or ‘Have I Told You Lately’.
During the costume change, the band took over the stage and belted out ‘Lady Marmalade’ and ‘Proud Mary’ to the audience. Long-time singer Holly Brewer was missing from the stage on Tuesday, but she was seamlessly replaced by the equally talented Georgia Napolitano, who will be standing in for her this summer.
As ‘Sailing’ heralded the final phase of a very entertaining evening in Raleigh, numerous lighters were raised once again before Sir Rod brought the show to a powerful close with the Faces classic ‘Stay With Me’.

The suit was worn by Rod during his 1983/4 tours — a defining era that showcased his boldest stage presence and fashion style. Designed by Fleur Thiemeyer, Rod’s personal designer at the time, this suit reflects the flamboyant energy and rock-star image of that tour.
The suit was later awarded as a prize at a SMILER fan club event in Manchester, and was personally handed over by Rod Stewart’s brother Don, providing unique and direct provenance. It has been carefully preserved ever since.
