Glastonbury Festival Special
Rod told BBC’s Sidetracked with Annie Macmanus and Nick Grimshaw in a special episode of BBC Sounds Sidetracked podcast. He intends to have a “small orchestra on stage with him for his ballads, and with only 75 minutes of performance time, Sir Rod acknowledged it will be challenging to fit in all of his classic hits. To maximise song time, he plans to keep his between-song chatter to a minimum, although he’ll pause for the occasional sip of Bacardi and Coke: “It’s the only thing I drink,” he explained, “and I only drink it when I do gigs. “

Rod also confirmed heāll decide his set-list the night before the performance, revealing, āI have two guests coming on⦠three actually⦠(the set list) wonāt be until the night before.ā
You can listen to the Glastonbury special of Sidetracked with Annie and Nick now on BBC Sounds.

Rod told The Sun that he wanted fans to wear Celtic shirts for the big event

“No, I think you will probably see more Celtic shirts than anything else (in the crowd). I would love to see some Celtic flags,” He said to The Sun, when asked if fans would don leopard print, like he did back in the 1970s.

Sidetracked was recorded in the well known Oisin Rogers Soho pub The Devonshire where you can get the best pint of Guinness in London and Oisin shared a great story

I am sorry that Rod was so ill. His schedule is so demanding. He is a fabulous performer and AMA music awards honor for him was so special.
