As England goes back in lockdown Rod news is thin on the ground but SMILER will do our best to bring you breaking news as it happens, here we go…
Rod wants to install double glazing to make his 18th century mansion warmer, he has already had draught proofing work done to the single-pane sash windows at his Harlow home and had shutters fitted to them and now wants to replace them with double glazed windows to improve “thermal efficiency”
A design statement submitted to the council states: “The proposed replacement windows are of a sympathetic design compatible with the character, scale and appearance of the existing property, while providing updated accommodation.”
The work requires planning permission from Epping Forest District Council because his home is a Grade II listed building. But the plans hit a snag when the council’s own conservation team objected to them. They said the replacing the windows would be a “contentious intervention”.
Rod has also joked that he might have work done on his knob after his ankle operation was a success!
After recently being told he will be taller after undergoing a corrective the ankle fusion operation, which helped straighten the bones in his lower legs, Rod said : “My knee got fixed with a knee replacement, so then the ankle didn’t know what was going on because obviously it’s crooked because of the knees, so now I’ve had to have the angle done, So when this is all done, I should have a nice straight leg and be able to run – and then I’m going to get my knob done.”
When asked by Virgin Radio DJ Chris Evans what needs addressing about his penis, he said: “Mind your own business!”
