You may have seen Sharon Cook and Andrew Aitchison from Liverpool on BBC Breakfast recently telling how their dream £9000 wedding in Las Vegas had been ruined after travel group Thomas Cook went bankrupt.
The story ended well last night [Wednesday] after the couple contacted Caesars Palace asking for help, Caesars contacted Delta Airlines who agreed to fly the husband and wife to be, and fourteen of their friends and family, from Heathrow airport London on Sunday, with only three days to go until the big day
When they arrived in Vegas, the couple were chauffeured in a limousine from the airport to the hotel, and upgraded to penthouse suites. But the biggest surprise came when at the wedding venue, Rod and a few of his band members turned up and treated them to a personal version of his hit ‘Have I Told You Lately’ and not only that Sharon got to duet with Rod on part of the song!
Andrew told SMILER this morning “What a lovely amazing man Sir Rod Stewart is! He absolutely made our day”
The treat didn’t end there, Rod also presented the happy couple with tickets for his Vegas show on Friday night.
