TARTAN 2018 was another huge success last night and the SMILER team would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Sir Rod Stewart for taking time to help with prizes, Our guests of honour Don and Pat Stewart for everything!!, Lotus Donovan and Jenni Champion for letting us have the first play of tracks from Rod’s new album ‘Blood Red Roses’ the tracks went down a storm with the SMILER crowd, to Nod Stewart and The Faces who played an amazing set ..you could not have been any better [A special mention goes to Ian Logie who even showed Michael Buffer how it’s done!..Google it], to Pete ‘The Red’ our DJ and auctioneer who kept everyone entertained throughout the night, The staff at The Regent Theatre for looking after us, All Yve’s volunteers who as always do a great job behind the scenes especially Ken Cording who manned the merchandise table all night..And especially everyone who came, we couldn’t do it without you all and you really did us proud last night with your support in the auction and raffle ..and not moaning about the outrageous bar prices..You all make everything we do worth while
As Sir Rod said in his message that was passed on by Don He really does have the best fans ever.
