In a career as long as Rod’s, it is inevitable that there are troves of material that never see the light of day – many songs trialled and rejected as part of album sessions, but also album concepts that never make it all the way. Rhino made a big deal about releasing Once in a blue moon in 2010, Rod’s Lost Album they said…well I reckon it’s just one of Rod’s lost albums. Thing is, some of them may have been lost / dumped / shelved for good reason! We may yet hear the duets album, but the rest are probably consigned to the permanent bin.
