“I was thrilled to receive my copy of the latest issue of SMILER! It is a wonderful celebration of Rod’s most recent work and gives the fans an opportunity to celebrate with him by telling him what they think of his gift to them–another self-penned work of art. I found the interview with Rod by Mike Walton to be one of the most honest interviews I’ve seen in a while. Rod appeared relaxed and sounded like he was talking to a “friend”. I loved that Rod acknowledged again how the encouragement of the fans inspired him to continue writing. The fans’ additional comments about “Another Country” were superb. Dave and I appreciated the space given to our review and photo. I was also pleased to see such a positive review by John Gray and that a SMILER issue was dedicated to Rod’s current work rather than his work with the Faces. It’s a great issue and one I will probably reread a couple of times.
