Before The Gathering in Nottingham on Saturday we held the draw for the recent SMILER competitions as Garry Sturrock was buying me a pint of Blondes Have More Fun at the bar and he had not entered either competition he did the honours
First out was Gerard Rafferty from Meryside UK who won a signed copy of the book When we were the boys by ex Rod Stewart guitarist Stevie Salis that has already sold out of it’s first run!!

Well done to you both and just to add a further little competition I will buy a pint at the next SMILER party to the first person who tells me what edition of SMILER did a photo of Garry and Rod from 1976 feature…Answers on a postcard to the usual address.
