Twisting and Sailing with Rod Stewart in Berlin

O2 World Berlin Germany review by Véronique Chartier

Traveling from France to Berlin by train for another Live The Life Tour concert experience. The second one for me after Amsterdam last year.

Arriving at 7:00 pm at O2 World Berlin, capacity of 17000 people, I had a view from upstairs on the left side of the stage.

The concert started at 8:00 pm and I could hear and see Rod singing during 2 hours… what a delight !

The show was a mix between slow, acoustic and rock n’ roll songs.

Forever Young was a very constructive song playing live with great instrumentals drums.

Rod invited the audience to sit down and relax to enjoy the fabulous acoustic moment with all the musicians.

Then, he introduced the new song Brighton Beach and asked the audience for a big applause as if it was the big hit Maggie May. So, we did, of course.

The temperature went higher and higher with Sweet Little Rock n’ Roller.

I really appreciated the moment when Rod played football on stage during the song Hot Legs.

Sailing created an intimate atmosphere with cigarette lighters from the crowd.

All the musicians joined Rod for the last song Da Ya Think I’m Sexy with balloons on the head of the public.

A big standing ovation for a fantastic apotheosis of the show !
