Bobby Womack has spoke again about the album that was due out this year featuring a track recorded with Rod, he told Okayplayer he has begun work on a new album, and has some of the biggest names in music working on the new record with him.
Womack teamed up with Damon Albarn and Richard Russell for his 2012 album, The Bravest Man In The Universe, which gained him huge critical praise and put his name back on the music map. Now, the legend has confirmed work has begun on a follow up.
“I told Damon and Richard that whenever they’re available to record I will make myself available,” Womack tells US publication Okayplayer. “But I was already working on a new album, I have Stevie Wonder on it, I have Rod Stewart, Levert, Snoop Dogg is on it, this lady from Motown — now what was her name?
So lets hope we finally get to hear the track in 2014.
