Rod Stewart’s guitarist and X Factor finalist to rock out in Chislehurst

By Joshua Fowler

Rod Stewart’s former guitarist Jim Cregan brings his latest band to The Beaverwood Club in Chislehurst for a night of rock ‘n’ roll on December 27.

Jim, who co-wrote a number of Rod’s hits and appears on 13 of his albums, is joined by former X Factor finalist Ben Mills as a fellow vocalist for Cregan & Co.

Aside from his work with the former Faces front man, Jim is also credited on two Katie Melua number one albums as well as on Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel’s Make Me Smile (Come Up And See Me), in which he plays the guitar solo.

Mills is a gravel-voiced axe-man who reached the 2006 X Factor final, losing out to Leona Lewis. He has since had two gold-selling albums, and has collaborated with the likes of Mark Owen and written for Mica Paris.

The pair will be joined on stage by drummer Harry James, formerly of Thunder, bassist Pat Davey and keyboard player Sam Tanner.

Tickets cost £12 with doors open from 7.30pm. Visit thebeaverwoodclub.co.uk.
