Shades & Peters are a Danish Duo consisting of René Shades and Martie Peters. They have just released their debut EP Comin’ Around the band are Inspired by Classic Rock Acts like Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams, and Bruce Springsteen and also the newer Country & Rock Scene such as Keith Urban, Sugarland, and The Goo Goo Dolls
The EP contains 5 tracks all sang by Martie Peters starting with the René Shades written and very Bryan Adams sounding I’m Comin’ Around a great catchy lead track that is followed by a track co-written by Adams/Vallance What’s it Gonna be, Martie’s voice suites these songs perfectly, the third track is another original written by René Shades a slow rocker Back To Me, that will leave you wanting to hear a full album of Shades and Peters music.
Tracks 4 and 5 will be of extra special interest to SMILER members first is The Balcony another original written by Thiesen,Tritico and Peters and featuring not only great vocals from Martie but ex RSG’s Tony Brock on drums and Kevin Savigar on keyboards and string arrangements you will also recognize the familiar sax and harmonica of Jimmy Zavala and if all that’s not enough Jim Cregan pops up playing lead guitar
The EP finishes with another René Shades composition The Flame it’s a great closing track and again features Kevin Savigar on moog, piano, B3 and Synths.
