We are delighted to announce that Shaun Tatarka has joined the Smiler Editorial and Web Team. If Shaun sounds familiar to you, it may be because he is the author of the liner notes that accompanied Rod’s ‘Once In A Blue Moon’ album released earlier this year. More recently Shaun wrote the text that will appear in the upcoming UK Tour Programme a project that involved interviewing the man himself!
Shaun is a genuine Rod Stewart expert and a most welcome addition to the Smiler team. He bought his first Rod album – ‘Footloose & Fancy Free’ – in February 1978, at the age of 13 and has been an avid fan and critic ever since.
Shaun, an advertising copywriter who lives with his wife and two children in Great Falls, Montana, has travelled around the West of America to various Rod Stewart concerts, seeing him no fewer than eight times over the past 20 years, most recently in Las Vegas in 2008.
With the permanent return of the printed edition of Smiler Shaun will be putting his writing skills to fine use by contributing to our two forthcoming Warner Brothers specials. He also provides Smiler with a US based team member with his ear firmly to the ground.
