We used the sample as its a great chord sequence and the sounds of the instruments used give it a great feel. Rod’s vocals always have a husky recognizable sound to them which work really well for this type of live hip hop. (did you know there is an unofficial version floating around that uses a lot more of Rod’s vocal in?)
its relevant to the project as the album talks about peoples vices and the things they do EVERYDAY to make life better – even though we’ve heard all the warnings and read all the sign but we still do the things we enjoy as they make life bearable.
