MTV celebrate the 25th birthday of the first television channel dedicated to music.
We get a chance to see the channel’s top 25 moments ever. From Madonna kissing Britney Spears, to Bill Clinton thanking MTV for his election success, to the legendary Nirvana acoustic on Unplugged, it’s packed with reasons why MTV has stayed top of the pops. In another special birthday show, Spice Girl Emma Bunton gives us the best and most controversial videos, voted by 10,000 viewers. Other highlights will include a repeat of the first hour of MTV from 1981, which brings back Cliff Richard, Buggles – who had the first video to be shown on MTV -and Rod Stewart.
