We have just heard from drummer Kenny Aronoff who has been recording with Rod for his new ‘Rock’ album. Here’s what he had to say:
The Rod Stewart sessions were amazing and such a great musical experience and a great hang. It was so motivating to hear Rod sing while we were recording.
It really helped the rest of us feel the music and the vibe of the song when Rod sang. I always prefer playing with a live band and most definitely the singer. I think it gets the best results from all the musicians. As far as the songs we cut… I don’t think I will comment on those. It will be everyone’s surprise when the album comes out 🙂
