Rod’s latest edition of The Great American Songbook has been awarded a Platinum disc by the BPI certifying sales of 300,000 in the UK alone. The award was made last week at the same time as the album received Silver (60,000) and Gold (100,000) awards.
The album has so far been on the UK charts for six weeks and currently stands at No. 30. In the USA it is at No. 25 in its seventh week.
